I stayed here for 18 days in April 2013. A very good Hostel in Good Location and friendly staff. I also took private lessons in Spanish here. I recommend anyone who wants to learn Spanish to take a week or two here. The teacher was incredibly good at teaching.

I stayed two weeks in the Black Sheep Hostel during a two months trip in Colombia. I found it the best hostel I stayed in during my travels. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm, perfect to sleep in because the back of the hostel is really quiet. The staff are really helpfull and have a lot of information about... More

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 friends and did not enjoy our experience at all. We actually booked our third night at another hostal. The guy at the reception was the grumpiest Colombian we met on our 15 day trip. We were assigned beds in different rooms and he couldn't care less that we had specified we wanted to... More

Stayed here for three nights over a weekend in February 2013. The hostel was full the whole time and people without bookings were being turned away so we were glad we had booked in advance online. It's in a nice area of town, near a big supermarket and near the zona rosa with most of the bars and clubs. It's... More

I stayed at the black sheep for 2 months. I would definitely go back. It's a social hostel without being (too) full of douches. If that's your scene, you'll be better suited to pit stop or casa kiwi. Having said that, there are always people up for going out so there's both worlds here. Yadira's Spanish lessons are great, she... More

After the rumors of how unsafe this place was, we did not find it at all. They have security cameras, and locked gate. The area seemed very safe and we walked around at night also. The kitchen had good supplies, it was a quiet room, clean and had a great social area.

We stayed here for 4 nights in December. We had a double en suite room, which was really huge, and good value. The hostel is a really sociable place, and it's easy to start talking to others. On the other hand, it's not too loud at night and anyway the social areas are quite far from the rooms. There's a... More

I was at the Black Sheep for a week and really enjoyed my stay. It is great hostel in a safe part of town. It is near the nightlife, the metro station and the supermarket. The rooms are clean, the staff are helpful and the sunday BBQ is a great hangover cure.

The hostel is a nice clean property, on a nice residential street. But I cannot recommend this place after the events of the night of Dec 4, during my stay. Four or five armed men entered the property and robbed us at gunpoint. They had bolt cutters, broke into the lockers, took whatever they could, and demanded money from those... More
