Although I was in Ningbo for business, my stay at the Sofitel was extremely pleasurable. The thing that stands out is the level of service and attention from the staff, fantastic.
With a number of resturants on hand and the other facilities like the gym I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was value for money.

This is quite a new property in the Ningbo area. I have staid here 3 or 4 times. In general the hotel is quite nice.
The service is very good and efficient. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel car service and it was flawless.
The lobby is expansive and nice as most new hotels in China...

The sofitel is next to Wands Plaza which is a huge shopping and resteraunt area . The only drawback is a 15 minute cab ridr to tianyai square (shopping) and Lai waitan (western nightlife). Stayed for 2 nights. Have stayed here before. Enjoyed the stay. Whilst you cannot see a lot of restaurants nearby there are plenty in the large mall next door. Facilities were good and quality of english was also ok. No problems encountered.
