Had dinner in the Thai restaurant on the 1st of March with 5 friends. During dinner the gardeners were spraying insecticde on the plants around the restaurant. Both the smell and the potential for spray drift going on the food was horrible. the insecticide being used was Lorsban.

The room is spacious and had a nice balcony and view of the water. Free internet in the room. We ate at all the restaurants and the food is excellent. The Hotel and location is quite nice, rooms are sometimes noisy but accetable. due to the 1st of May vacation in china many chinese have been there and therefore it has been very crowdy. This you need to bear and if you are looking for a quite and silent time it is maybe the wrong time to go there

Spent 5 days in the middle of march in this nice hotel. Great beach, great sand. It was a quiet season and the hotel was not full. A little noisy in the corridors when some people are talking or some children crying but alltoghether OK. We stayed at the Mangrove Tree Resort because we couldn't find any other hotels at Yalong Bay with a nice price...and we liked (but not impressed) with the hotel,. It has nice and clean rooms, nice lobby bar, and helpful staff. Nonetheless, please note that the staff-s knowledge of English is poor... so you might have some difficulties in communicating.... More
