Their interpretation of a grand western style hotel was a bit over the top. But the rooms were large, clean and comfortable which is all I really ask. Rooms were very dark and could have had better lighting.

This is a hotel that will stay in your memory for long. But if you are a Westener, make sure you get a room on the 3rd floor which is all traditional Chinese. The 4th floor and up are European designed.
