From the moment we arrived we were treated with nothing but curtesy, efficiency and friendliness from all of the staff. There are just 15 rooms in this traditional Kmer property which is built of wood. Our room was a good size decorated in wood, silk and antiques. In the centre of the property is a pool that may not be... More

Our group of 15 stayed here. The hotel was extremely nice. Lots of greenery, lots of local wood and a wonderful pool. The desk staff was friendly and checked our 9 rooms in very quickly. The rooms were huge and beautiful. Wood everywhere, flat screen tv, cable, AC, shutters to black out the room, big bed, huge bathroom. We wanted... More

Dear rcaldin, thank you for staying at HanumanAlaya and taking the time to write a review share your experiences honestly. I sincerely apologize for the problems you experienced with our Food and Beverage Service, I especially found the description "unattentive" alarming, and can assure you that this is not the norm - we place great emphasis on caring for our... Although this hotel is outside the centre of Siem Reap it has its benefits as its very close to the Angkor Wat temples and it only cost 2 dollars to get into the centre. The hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable and the staff are very helpful and polite. The breakfast is fine and adequate, its not buffet. We... More

We arrived in Siem Reap and were met by an affable driver. The check in was great, cold towels, welcome drink....the works. Reached the room and to our dismay found that the air-conditioning was not working. While the staff were polite, they just didn't know how to sort out the problem. Finally the told us that we can stay at... More

We stayed 4 nights in one of their Deluxe rooms on the first floor, the room was huge and had everything that we needed for our stay. I will say that the beds are very hard and took some getting used to. The dark wood can make the room feel quite dark but that is the style. The bathroom was... More

Stayed at the Hanumanalya just over a year ago. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! Really was a quiet paradise. We had the beautiful pool to ourselves most afternoons. The rooms were nicely done and extremely comfortable. Service was great. And the food... best fish amok I had in Cambodia, simply delicious. Great hotel. Brilliant place to... More

We loved our stay at the HanumanAlaya. The hotel is slightly out of Siem Reap which meant it was very peaceful and the hotel staff were quick to arrange a tuk tuk to town when needed. The garden area and pool were beautiful. The pool was quite small but due to the small number of guests in the hotel and... More

What a great place. Everything about our stay at HanumanAlaya was positive. We stayed in the close-by HanumanAlaya House, which is a short (5-10min) walk from the main hotel, but we had full use of all the Hotel's facilities and of course the professional and attentive staff bent over backwards to help us with anything we needed. The "House" is... More

This was a recommendation from a frequent visitor to Siem Reap and Angkor and a very welcome one. The whole hotel is beautifully presented, from the garden round the pool to the artworks in every space, from public areas to guest verandahs to the individual rooms. This rather traditional design might not appeal to everyone as much as it did... More

Other reviews have perfectly described the place, so there's no point repeating that - so this is just opinion. Nice (but small) plunge pool; very nice and helpful staff, perfectly acceptable rooms (we were upstairs) and not bad food. Being a ride from town is plus/minus - you're out of the noise and car horns etc. But then you can't... More
