The bedroom is nice enough, however we failed to inspect the bathroom, which was beyond filthy. The shower curtains were black with mould. The Mekong Boutique Hotel was nice and central and within easy reach of the retaurants and markets and represented good value for money. Friendly staff, good sized rooms and close to old town. If you crave a swimming pool (it's hot here!) the hotel is close to Kanell a restaurant with a pool. Food good too. Ask for a front facing room if you wish to people watch in the street! Also the hotel opposite has a good cocktail bar on the roof.
