We didn't find the hosts to be that friendly or helpful, bordering on judgmental, but in fairness we were moving through quickly. Room was hot, fan was largely ineffective, but tidy enough. Nice spacious shower (finally some room for a tall human). Quiet and slightly off the beaten track but easy walk to old market part of Siem Reap. Organised... More

dear bailey, to our mind it is not fair to judge about our character. you and michelle book just one night at the backpackers. we take our job very serious and we are friendly to everybody. when you are complaining that we are not helpful, how is it possible to organize a good tour guide for the temples for you.... Quality place, overall good value for money. I had a nice quiet room. Location is decent, everything in Siem Reap very closeby. Staff were quite helpful doing some travel arrangements for my visit to the temples.

Hospitality of the wife and the husband is just great. They greeted you upon arrival and made you feel a total at home, introducing all the dogs that they have. I went with 2friends and have shared a backpacker room. Don't think of having a lift up to carry your luggage so travel light. We climbed 3storey up and entered... More

dear guests, we are very sorry that you can´t stand the temperature during daytime in a double room with fan and balcony. the room cost 10 usd per night. we are still fully booked, so it is hard for my wife and myself to carry the luggage of every guest. maybe this is more popular in the 5 star hotels... After spending 5 nights in a fan only room at this guesthouse we have a mixed review to offer. First the good stuff. Excellent location within a 5 minute walk of the main tourist area, but on a quiet side street away from all the noise. Our room was very large, with a private balcony, 2 double beds, ensuite bathroom,... More

Have mixed feelings about this place. We stayed in the Backpacker section and for $10 a night, it is amazing whether you're on your own or splitting the cost. Two big double beds, clean bedding, lovely furnishings and nice balcony with table and chairs. Bathroom is incredible for a guesthouse, never mind a backpacker's! Rain shower, pebble floor etc. As... Frank and Tanja are super flexible...my flight was only at night, but it was no problem to come back in the evening to take a shower and rest. I loved the atmosphere in the backyard and they gave me great tipps. The rooms are big and clean and you can find super tasty streetfood all around this place! I didn't... More

We were at Bayon Guesthouse for 3 nights and loved it! Really huge, spotless clean rooms with balcony, lush garden and of course the lovely, helpful owners. Have not a single bad thing to say about it. Location also very good, close to everything. Not to mention, what you get for your money there is unbelievable! A MUST!

My best friend and myself decided to stay here during our siem reap trip after much research and consideration prior. Oh well what can I say, we made the right choice!! For only USD10 per night for the backpackers room, it was worth the money and much more. The room itself was a luxurious backpackers room that's for sure. it's... More

Frank and Tanja really have a gem on their hands. We were quite overwhelmed to learn that Siem Reap had 4,000+ hotels/guesthouses, so when we tired of searching and booked with Bayon Garden, I was not expecting to be blown away. However, we found the rooms to be in great condition; spacious, clean, with mosquito nets and a lovely patio... More

Tanja and Frank run the best hotel and backpackers in Siem Reap. They are so kind, and look after their guests like family! We felt incredibly comfortable there, and enjoyed it so much we spent an extra couple of days even though we were on a very tight schedule. They have wonderful and extensive knowledge of the Angkor Temples, and... More
