My friend and I stayed at Sonalong Village for 10 nights. The hotel was comfortable and very quite considering we were only a 10 minute walk to the main part of town. The manager, Mr Hak, spoke fantastic English and was very helpful. He organised 3 days of private tours for us in an air-conditioned car (which was appreciated when... More

Mr Hak, whom I've known for years, is a first-class manager. With him in charge, the smooth running of the hotel is guaranteed. Everything about this hotel is exemplary. The room was luxurious and a real bargain for 48 dollars; the small pool is well maintained; the garden - the whole place is a tropical garden - is beautiful; the... More

We booked into the Sonalong for 5 nights at a cost of $269.79, so roughly $50 a night. The rooms are built in fours with two rooms being on the bottom and then two directly over them. Each has a sitting area, deck or balcony, out front with two comfortable swing chairs. The location of the hotel is a short... More

Over the Easter break (April 2012) we had the priviledge of visiting Siem Reap. Our tour was organised by Wide Eyed Tours in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was an all inclusive package deal including air fares from Saigon, Sonalong accomodation, a driver, car and a tour guide for 2 days. We were met at the Air Port by the Driver (Joy),... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Sonalong in December 2011. We had a really hard time finding a small hotel with availability during this high season. We stumbled upon Sonalong and were very happy and comfortable. It is quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to town and the night market to easily walk. The staff is very friendly and helpful.... More

The grounds are quite nice but the rooms are plain and run down, especially the bathroom. I spent one night here before going on a tour and then stayed at Tara Angkor when I got back. Paid the same price for both but Tara was at least 2 stars higher in quality. Sonalong would be ok if it was <$30US... More

This place is far enough from the center of town to give you a quiet stay but still close enough to walk into town. Rooms are quiet, clean, tidy and well appointed with great air-condition. 5 of us stayed at the Sonalong Boutique Hotel for 4 nights in March 2012. Rooms were quiet, clean, and generous sizes with good air conditioning. Staff were helpful and attentive. One morning I got up for an early morning swim and there were no towels out - I had only done one length when several were put out for... More
