We've spent three nights at Bürglstein and have been delighted by the friendly staff, very clean, large and newly furbished rooms and very tasty and abundant gastronomy. The sauna is also modern and always tidy. I really cannot think of any objections or criticism... We've enjoyed our stay at Bürglstein very much and would recommend it to everybody again. Very... We had booked a room from the center of St. Wolfgang but due to a double booking we had to stay in Gasthof Burgelstein which ended up to being good luck. The Hotel is next to a bus stop from Strobl to St. Wolfgang so we got there easily. Of course it is easier to move arround in that area... More

We made a reservation for one night late in the evening on the internet. As we set out the next morning we received a call from the manager, Wolfgang Linsmayer, saying they were terrible sorry, but they had a late night arrival and he took the last room available. They hadn't checked the internet reservations because it was the middle... More

We stayed for few day around New Year"s Eve and we enjoyed every bit of our vacation. The hotel is brand new and the owner is very friendly and helpful. The food was great starting with the Burglstein Brettl (pork ribs) that you have to try if you get there, potatoes salad, Wiener snitzel and fish out of the lake.... More

The hotel is very nice, everything is new, the food is very good and cheap and Wolfgang, the owner of the hotel is very nice and helpful (he even took us for free with his bus to the Christmas Fair in Strobl). The location is close to Postalm sky area, to Eurotherm baths and not so far from Slazburg.

Some have said that this Hotel is a little remote from St Wolfgang and Strobl, this is true but not a problem. The bus stop is outside and the walk by the lake to Strobl is a superb 30 minute walk. St W is a little too much of a tourist trap anyway. For the walker the trip to Schwarzensee... More

Not the best location for St. Wolfgang, its a few kilometers to the centre. However the manager Wolfgang was simply wonderful. he couldn't do enough to help. He organised concert tickets, help for our car, suggested trips. Beautiful rooms and above average food. Each room has a verandah

The Gasthof Burglstein is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting the lake district of Salzburg. It is located near the towns of St. Wolfgang and Strobl near Wolfgangsee. Despite being located on the outskirts of St. Wolfgang, other points in the area are easily accessible by the Post Bus which runs right past the hotel. The Gasthof... More
