Welcomed by friendly desk staff, not only on checkin but throughout the day. Everyone, even in the hall ways, said hi and wished us a great day. Rooms clean. While somewhat difficult to find behind the Courtyard and next to Extended Stay, this Inn was exactly what we expected from Marriott - positive of course. This is our 2nd or... More

We were in Ann Arbor to visit the University of Michigan. The location was great; it was a quick drive to the school. It was clean and they had a friendly staff. They had a nice indoor pool area and a great free breakfast. The bathroom was really small. You coudn't shut the door while you were sitting on the... More

Well, I wanted to experience this myself as I needed to be in town by 7:30am for work I was doing in the area. I didn't want to drive 30+ minutes from where I would normally stay when I'm in the eastern MI area. I had seen the reviews in the train and thought how bad could this really be.... More

Have stayed here several times. Fairly priced, close to campus, quiet and nice front desk staff. Mattress was a little soft. Possibly getting old.

I usually stay at another hotel in the same chain which is down the street, but they're prices were much higher than the Fairfield. Since it was just me, and I only needed a room for 3 nights, I booked this hotel instead. I was very pleased that I did! It is a little confusing to find, as it is... More

the GOOD: absolute wonderful, warm, friendly staff!! great breakfast. the BAD: sink in actual bedroom, small shower and toilet room the HORRIBLE: hidden train tracks just beyond hotel with loud, long trains that come through at 3:30 am and 6:30 am waking us both times. instead of a 3 night stay we checked out after one night. IF you must... More

The hotel was booked by an agency travel agent ergo we had no input in hotel selection. I read the reviews re: this hotel and found them to be very accurate with the exception of there are tons of near by resturants chains and local specialities. The rooms are extremely small, the guest book information listed that meeting rooms are... More

We stayed here (two rooms) in mid-March for a visit to the University of Michigan. I agree with the other poster, finding the hotel by using GPS is a little difficult, but since you can see the hotel, you just have to be willing to drive through a parking lot or two to get there. The staff was wonderful. They... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in March 2012 using points. Location: This hotel is located near to I-94 (3 minute drive), the Briarwood Mall (2 minute drive), U of M campus (5-15 minute drive), and the U of M medical center (15 minute drive). First, this hotel was a little difficult to find. When our GPS... More
