We stayed here for four days Jan 2012 and found it very comfortable. It had a pool on the roof and the weather was wonderful. The staff were excellent and the hotel food was of a very good standard. the rooms were very spacious and very clean. We booked this hotel as it was very reasonable and near to shops... More

We (my wife and I) booked a 7 night stop over at the Metropolitan on our way back from Sri Lanka. We booked bed, breakfast and dinner as the location of the hotel midway on Sheikh Ziad road was some distance from downtown, although quite close to the Metro station. The Lobby and lounge was amazing and decorated to a... More

a great base to explore dubai location on sheikh zayed road means you can get to pretty much anywhere. you cant walk anywhere in this city! taxis are cheap and will take you anywhere! the cinema attached was pretty cool! and you could get krispy kreme donuts down the road! we read lots of reviews about ladies of the night,... Good medium hotel. Good location with nearby Arabic and Iranian resturants and easy transportation. Next to clock Tower. Rooms are confortable, good TV channels choice. Restaurant has ample buffet for 110 Dh. What is not good is the money minded policiy of hotel : they ask you to pay for full stay and charge your card immediately for full amount... More

This hotel has had a somewhat mixed review but i can only say nothing but good things, from the central location with good access to the Metro to the quality of the rooms (comfy comfy beds!!) and the ambience of the Skybar with definately no 'ladies of the night' hiding in the bushes! It is with great regret that i... More

A great hotel - right next to the underground. Stayed 2 nights. Great staff and very polite. Our room was so spacious we could hear an echo of our own voices if the TV wasn't turned on to muffle the noise. We also had a kitchenette. A pity the hotel is going to be demolished.

We have just had a lovely stay at this hotel, the pool was fab as were the staff and facilities. The shops in the arcade were mostly shut but this is due to the demolision that's about to take place to make way for a new luxury high rise! This I feel is a shame, but its got to move... More

This hotel is situated near a very busy road, but on the Metro station route. The outside bars and surrounding gardens are good. But as it is an old hotel, it is showing its age and is going to be completely rebuilt soon. The executive rooms are ok, but there is no ventilation. The choice of breakfast buffet items is... More

Was a last minute booking and the only hotel left in dubai with 3 double rooms. The hotel staff were very pleasant and welcoming. the only issue was the pool...it wasnt in the hotel...you had to walk to the leisure club in the next building. If your going to dubai then the hotel has to have to a swimming pool... More

The Metropolitan was a pleasant place to stay when I desired to be "off the grid" of the central attractions of Dubai for relaxation. It is a little self-contained island that isn't in either the business or dining areas of the city, but it is an easy commute to more interesting locations. In Dubai, this isn't an issue as taxis...
