I arrived at the hotel, at around 6am in the morning, as usual I through the guy on night duty will look at this 7months pregnant women and organize a place for her to rest after a six hour flight, this was my third time in this hotel, to my very surprise, the guy just looked at me, gave me... We have just returned from our first trip to Dubai, having booked it through Airmiles, so both the hotel and the flight were free. I think it's important to mention this, because I'm not sure we'd pick this hotel again if we had to pay for it, but then again, all I know is that the whole thing cost us... More

I have yet again stayed at the Al Khaleej Hotel, and as usual it is absolutely perfect for a stopover and so close to the souks, you can walk to them within five or ten minutes. The staff are absolutely lovely, all very pleasant from the doormen who are keen to help carry the luggage for you (often with no... More

I have stayed at this hotel for many years, and each time I always find the staff extremely pleasant to deal with (thank you Irene!) and the breakfast is certainly enough to feed an army. Fresh rolls, fruit, omelettes, etc. The rooms are adequate with a balcony most having views of the creek and within two minuites walk. This hotel... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks during shopping festival. Located on Nasser square - shopping paradise for former soviet union shoppers - electronics, cheap clothes, leather and furs - all in one place and for cheapest prices in the world, 10 minutes walk from metro station, taxis all around. Hotel staff was very nice, russian-speaking-client-oriented), prolonged our stay without... More

This hotel is located in the Deira area of Dubai right next to the Gold Souk, which meant there were lots of wee streets around you can walk around, haggle with some store owners, find nice cheap food. I would have an overall positive review of this hotel if it hadn't been for the price scam. After I booked the... More

I recommend this hotel for backpackers especially or young singles, close friends and people who do not look for luxury. It has a great location downtown Dubai but it's located on quite busy street even at nights. But it's ok when you close balcony door / window. The hotel is quite clean, staff is friendly rooms are in good condition.... More

I was a lone traveler on Business and needed a hotel close to the City. I found the hotels information and called to find their location to business and downtown action. They informed me it was central to the business district. They were wrong... There location is about a 20 minute drive from the closest business district. Check in was... More

This was a lovely surprise for the money, as I'd found some varying reviews before booking. We paid $135 for a very last-minute booking out of a travel agent in Baku (who is contracted by my partner's employer); it's hard to know what to believe, but the prices posted at the front desk of the hotel were more than twice... I always book hotels in Dubai through SOUTHTRAVELS. which is located in Dubai itself so they know all the hotels. The Al Khaleeg Hotel is in the old town of Deira and is ten minutes walk from the gold/spice souks and the markets. On arrival at 5.20am in the morning from Singapore, the night porter brought me a kettle to... More
