We stayed two needs at the wonderful Tourath House and absolutely recommend it to other travellers who make it to wonderful Aleppo. It is located in a very atmospheric part of town, with so many wonderful restaurants very close, as well as the souk and citadel a 10 minute walk away. The inner courtyard really is something special, beautifully finished... More

The hotel is located in an old and antique neighborhood. No need for a car to visit the main antique places since it is near from them. A bit quiet and not expensive price. Staff were friendly. More

An amazingly cozy and beautiful small hotel that takes you to another era of time. Comfortable and quiet. Its very rich in culture to the simplest detail .(Hint: Take your time gazing at the ceiling while in bed).Took me no time to feel i were in my other home. Great hospitality; the staff are very friendly and welcoming and extremely... More

I stayed at Tourath House for a few days university colleagues. I've been advised to book there because of its charming atmosphere, and the nice way hotel owners treat their clients. I felt like I was at home. The food there is amazing, and the beds are so comfortable; I didn't wanna get up from bed at all:) Besides all... More

Really loved the ambience in this hotel, what with the rooms overlooking a central courtyard where in the morning breakfast was served. Impeccable service. Hotel is in the Christian Quarter, 30 minutes walk from the souqs, but the Christian Quarter in itself is a great place to explore More

The staff are unhelpful, not very knowledgable and unfriendly and not at all concerned with any issues that came up (with the exception of a very friendly and helpful young bellhop) such as the electricity cutting out randomly, no towels being available one day, and worst of all, bed bugs. Any questions we asked about Aleppo were met with vacant... More

Our first room was so small you could hardly move. When I asked for a blanket, I was given a child's comforter not very clean. The table cloths in the breakfast room never seem to be changed. most of the staff surly and unhelpful. The exception was the evening bellhop who cheerfully provided things we asked for. We could not... More

Tourath House: Raheb Bouhaira Street, Old City Aleppo, Syria Shops selling food, clothing, antiques, jewelry, souvenirs, plus common household products surround the Tourath House. The awesome Aleppo Citadel (Syria’s largest I believe) is a nearby walk. For neighbors, you have the Omayyad Mosque, numerous historic churches, and all things cultural that you expect in the Old City. No taxi needed.... More

Our problems with this rather strange little hotel began months before we actually arrived. Unlike other hotels we booked in Syria, Tourath House required a deposit, which is fine, except that they demanded it be paid by the time-consuming method of International Money Transfer into some obscure Swiss bank account where the name of the account holder "Edmond Jenno" sounded...
