The rooms are very nice and the spa is wonderful. The negative things are that smoking is allowed in all rooms including the hallways and common areas. The breakfast is of low quality. There should be an alternative to stay at the hotel without the breaksfast because Sibiu has a lot of nice things to serve.

Booked at the Imparatul Romanilor for 3 nights for August 2011. For 60 euros/night, did not expect dirty and faded carpets, windows not closing properly, bathroom fittings peeling and old. The staff did not agree to a change of room when we requested them. No parking facilities available. Checked out after one night even if we had booked for three.

Excellent hotel in the heart of the old part of Sibiu. Warm atmosphere. Rooms all refurbished and very clean. Location wise is just the best. Great selection at breakfast. Staff friendly and eager to help. Recommended.
