I booked for two nights. When I arrived, I was told that I would be able to stay in the main hostel due to a cancellation but would have to go to their "annex hostel" the next night. I was not aware there were two locations until then. The main hostel was nice with a cozy vibe, but the annex... More

Staying at Hostel Majda is frustrating. There are way too many people cramped in the tiny apartment. Two showers are not enough. They push the tour like crazy and it is very overpriced. Majda is overbearing. She looks over your shoulder when using the computer, barges into your room without knocking to ask you a question, and even forces you... More

Incredibly kind people. They were so nice with us. Majda came to pick us up to the police station since we weren´t able to find the hostel and when we arrived there, they offered us some tipical bosnian coffe and cakes to welcome us! More

Recommended this hostel by the owner of one I stayed in in Sarajevo with a friend. Took the train from Sarajevo & was picked up at the station by Madja. Upon arrival, our rooms were not ready (being before checkout) so we were treated to tea & cake courtesy of the grandma of the house. Madjas & her family went... More

I made last minute plans to visit Mostar. Majda picked me up from bus station in the rain, provided a complimentary fruit and drink and told me about the house rules. Since this was the off season (holiday) I was very pleased she opened her place up for me to stay. It was centrally located to everything. Although I traveled... More

I can't even begin to tell you how much I loved this hostel. From the pick up at the bus station to the walk out the door to catch our train, we were treated as family. Majda and Bata are both so amazing and their mom is even there cooking you little treats. It was amazing. We stayed 3 nights... More

Unfortunately we missed Majda's famous tour, but Majda's hostel was a good jumping off point for a great stay in Mostar nonetheless. Majda was very helpful in mapping out important sights and a few hidden gems, and made coffee and deserts as unexpected treats. The hostel itself is quite small and cramped, but facilities are functional and the private bedroom... More

We called ahead from Sarajevo (where we had a fantastic experience) to reserve beds in Majda's as backpackers in Sarajevo had recommended it. Majda told us the main hostel was full, but said we could have beds in the overflow location. Overall, our experience was very unsatisfactory. Positives were the pick-up from the train station, and ride to the bus... More

i thought this would just be a typical 'hostel' but i was treated like a very close family guest. the owner Majda met me in her car at the train station and drove me to the apartment. when i arrived her mother had prepared two slices of spinach burek in my room. it doesnt feel like a hostel more like... There is no way to describe how much I enjoyed staying here. It was the highlight of a three-week trip through most of the Balkans. It's more like a hostel, run out of the family flat, and the atmosphere is definitely friendly. As the other reviewer said, most people end up extending their stay, and it's easy to understand once... More
