This Hotel would have been "THE place" during the 60s and 70s. Excellent staff and service and good food. Dinner was buffet style and only about $20 AUD a head including wine and beer. Breakfast was included and quite substantial range of hot and cold food. Wifi only in the Foyer area which is a nuisance but fast and free.... More

This place is all about the location - the beach is right behind the hotel and is worth the stay here. As per other reviews, the rooms and hotel are quite dated. As well, the rooms are small and in need of some serious renos. You don't stay here for the accomodations, you stay here for the beach...

My husband and I recently stayed here for one night. We had read all of the reviews so booked this hotel whilst being fully aware it needing updating etc. but as long as it was clean we didn't mind. On entering the Hotel Brioni, it's like stepping back in time! Nothing has changed since the 1980's, it was bit surreal!... More

This hotel is old and since nothing seems to have been changed since the 1960s, it actually looks sort of retro now, which I don't mind. What I do mind, however, is that while it has a huge lobby and big hallways, the rooms and bathrooms are tiny, the beds are creaky and there's no AC, no fridge or minibar.... More

Terrible...The hotel is perhaps 40 years old and nothing (and I mean nothing) has been updated ever since. Despite it’s age, it is built in an era/style that is totally devoid of any charm. The carpet is disintegrating and is a patch work of stains…the whole place buzzes with the sound of old fluorescent lighting…the place has an unfortunate smell... More

Although the hotel is a 25-minute bus ride (take service 2A from main bus stop, costing 11 Kuna) from the centre of Pula, what we found upon arrival was superb. A hotel right on the sea front and with brilliant walking opportunities close by. Room balconies a nice touch, especially with brilliant weather throughout our stay. Brilliant breakfast available from... More

Given the holiday cost the hotel was clean, staff friendly, food fair & eatable, a bit of a trek to Pula but i usually walked it, there are plentiful cheap buses. Good bit of Sea to swim in though typically Croatian with rocky shores. You can do a lot worse than stay at Brioni.

I can’t be negative about a hotel that claims to be nothing more than a 2 star hotel because it is exactly that. As people have written before, it is looking old, doesn’t benefit from air conditioning and is a bit of a concrete monster. Its lower ground floor rooms are cavernous and I couldn’t help thinking that it must... More

The hotel is outdated - I think the hotel was probably last refurbished in 1970's/early 80's - however it was clean. No air conditioning in the room, no FANS and the windows are fixed so you can't open them - although there was a balcony door you could keep open (obviously not in the night)... Not nice when you're visiting... More
