This hotel was great for our four night stay in Dubrovnik. It was ideally situated within walking distance of the old town and had great views from the balcony. Unfortunately we only had view of the road outside as we didn't have a sea facing room. It would have been nice to have had the opportunity to choose this as... More

This hotel was recommended by friends and it proved to be a great choice - fantastic views, very near the old town, good accommodation and friendly staff. The buffet breakfasts were extremely good as was the beach bar and terrace. Restaurant service was the only thing that let the hotel down - so slow that we actually walked out on... More

Just returned from a short 3 night stay at this hotel. First impressions were great with a fantastic location just outside the old town (approx 10 minutes walk). Check in took a little time as the reception staff were trying to find a twin room rather than a double for us but this wasnt a problem. The room we were... More

I just loved this hotel and Dubrovnic. The staff were all exceptional and the position over looking the old town was beautiful. The outside spaces were also ideal especially the pool. I will definitely be returning to Dubrovnic and I will stay here.

Clearly an established hotel in a fantastic location, but rooms are a bit baroque, service is stuffy and restaurant is ok but not excellent. 10 min walk to the old town, which is a definite advantage. Preferred Hotel Lapad for real atmosphere. (Note that the weather was poor, so we couldn't take advantage of the pool and ocean access, which... More

Dear Ms. Sarah, Thank you for taking your time and writing review about our hotel! Yes our decore is more classical and we might say also baroque especially if you were accommodated in Villa Argentina. If you decide to visit us again maybe Hotel Argentina part would be better option. We are sorry that the weather was poor and that... More

We spent the Whitsun Bank Holiday at the GVA for 3 nights and were most impressed with the service. The hotel staff were all very attentive and spoke amazingly good English. The check-in/out was efficient and the room was clean and very comfortable. The hotel has a fantastic location within easy strolling distance of the old town and fabulous views... More

Spent three nights here for my husband's 50th birthday. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The chauffeur who collected us from the airport was polite, professional and very knowledgeable about the local area. Most of the staff spoke excellent English, some speaking 2 or three different languages, which was great as our Croatian was non existent!! The... More

I think that the Grand Villa Argentina's outdoor spaces--the pool deck, bar areas, and restaurant--are the most gorgeous I've seen. An unparalleled view of the Adriatic. check. The limestone fortifications of the UNESCO World Heritage Site walled city of Dubrovnik, check. Lovely terraced gardens flowing down to the sea, check. This was a short, but heavenly, break. Our room was... More

Booked room after seeing it on Gilt's Jetsetter group. Beautiful surroundings, awesome perch on the Adriatic, but somewhat lacking in service. Getting a spa reservation was a nightmare and the spa is not what you would expect. It was like an afterthought and they put their two treatments rooms in old storage closets. I had to walk through someones tiny... More
