Every time we arrive in Antigua, Guatemala, we stay at Posada Los Bucaros. We have been guests there off and on for 2 years now. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The staff is always pleasant and very kind to us. Management goes out of their way to help us and accommodate our needs. We would recommend Los Bucaros... More

I made arrangements to accommodate a group of 26 people the last April and they all had a wonderful time, the rooms were very clean and great decoration and not to say breakfast are extremely delicious. I got no concern from anyone and they just loved everything. Again I am already planing to accommodate my next group at this hotel... More

This Pousada is run by what have to be two of the loveliest people in Guatemala. Having assisted me in booking a bike tour of the area they insisted on dropping me at the tour operator so I wouldn't get lost on my first day. They are seriously lovely and helpful people. The Pousada is clean and bright, it can... More

I stayed here with a group of 30 students. The staff here were incredibly accommodating of our needs during probably the busiest time of the year for them. It was easy arranging meals with them and they would often ask what we wanted to eat. They accommodated any meetings that our group needed to have and were always looking for... More

I stayed here as the start of a tour and the room was included so I can't comment on the cost. It's in a reasonably good location, about 10 mins walk from the main square. Antigua is pretty small anyway. They give you a decent map on arrival which is nice, free drinking water is provided which is handy. Also... More

My wife and I stay here three times yearly, bringing a dozen friends with us in March and November, staying upstairs in Room 12. Yes, the rooms may be noisier closer to the street, but the value and hospitality for this gem of a hotel has been superb. The staff is very attentive and helpful. We've also found the groups... Strke 1: The noise is intolerable when other guest (mostly Americans) fail to use their inside voice and consider that they are not the only people living in a confined open space (shame on Emory University pre-med and pre-dental students in particular). The hotel staff were unable or unwilling to manage noise levels. Strike 2: Bugs, bugs, bugs! In the... More

Stayed here for one night on Exodus's La Ruta Maya tour. Hotel was okay but rooms and bathroom very basic and could hear the TV on in reception all night. Breakfast was good and they even lit a fire for us in the dining room as it was freezing!

Nice little place to experience Guatemalan posadas. Clean, friendly, lots of little corners to sit & read or just have a cup of coffee. Minor beef is that the showers don't drain well, so you wind up standing in an inch of water. But, hey! it's hot water, and the price is excellent. Some commenters mention traffic noise, but it's...
