I took a team of 16 to Guatemala to work at Casa Angelina, an orphanage about 30 minutes from Antigua. We stayed at Posada Asjemenou for a whole week. We booked 8 rooms total at a cost of $35/night. The Posada Asjemenou could use some repairs and updating. My room was on the scuzzy side, with a dank bathroom, torn window screens and flimsy curtains. We stayed at this hotel for our last night in Antigua and it was the worst mistake we made. We had an amazing time in Guatemala, including our days in Antigua, but ended on a terrible note at this place. Our room was a double with a private bathroom. Room had very dim lites. Bathroom was dirty. Ants everywhere. Stayed one night and left. Found better accomendations at half the price a block away.
