I just got back from Antigua 4 days ago. I was with a group of teachers. The services in this hotel was the BEST. I had the opportunity to had deals with Patty and other lady in the front desk they did a great job in getting things for me and for the other members in my group.

Porta exceeded my expectations. From the gorgeous entrance boasting a lovely fountain, to the colorful grounds filled with native plants, exotic birds, and inviting pools, Porta is a real treat. The hotel is situated with clear views of Agua Volcano, an added bonus.

Choose this hotel for 3 main reasons: the view to the volcano, the swimming pool, and the food. Rooms are comfortable with a colonial design. Beware the internet, it doesn't work perfectly in all rooms.

Hotel was selected as part of a nice Caravan escorted tour of Guatemala and it was a treat. The rooms have a nice Colonial feel to them and we really enjoyed the ambiance. Good customer service by all staff.
