I spent two nights in the Jared Coffin House last weekend. I have spent a lot of time on Nantucket and somewhere along the way I got the impression that the Jared Coffin House was stodgy and "tired". Wow, was I wrong! The Inn is charming. My room was small but very nicely furnished and fine for a single traveler.... More

We just had a wonderful anniversary at The Jared Coffin House. Carol put us in a beautiful king room in front of the house on the 2nd floor . A bottle of wine, cards and chocolates greeted us. Paula, Rachael and Desmond took good care of us.The weather was beautiful. We spent our last night at The Brant Point Grill... More

This should be called a Bed and Cereal. At $335/ night in May, we were shocked at the breakfast or lack thereof. No cooked food, no fruit other than banana, store bought half dollar size cupcakes, and cereal. That was it. All beautifully laid out on two card tables with a white table cloth. We still cannot get over it... More

When I asked where I should stay for my first trip to Nantucket, the Jared Coffin House was universally recommended to me as an inn that embodied the essence of the island. It did not disappoint. The front desk, night and service staff were welcoming, professional, and provided attentive and personal service that made me feel as if I were... More

We stayed here over a weekend and it was very relaxing. The staff was kind and our room was a bit small but still very clean and charming. We really enjoyed the history of the building yet still felt the comforts of home. We were able to rent bikes nearby and spent an entire day riding around the beautiful island.... More

My husband and I came to Nantucket for the Daffodil Festival. We booked the Jared Coffin House w/out much knowledge re. what to expect. It was, to our surprise, just perfect. The location, right on the edge of downtown, could not have been more convenient. The front desk staff were among the most expert and accomodating I have encountered in... More

My friend and I decided to go to the daffodil festival and she recommended this hotel. The location was so perfect from the ferry to the shopping and finally to view the festival! Yes the hotel is on the older side but it still felt updated. I think for us the best part is the amazing service the front desk... More

The Jared Coffin House is a nice place. It is an older building; by this I mean historic, not run down. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. They have a small-ish breakfast snack table set up in the communal living space downstairs in the morning; juice, muffins, cereal, coffee, etc. We didn't really want to eat breakfast there anyway since... This is our 3rd time staying at Jared Coffin. Every time we come it just gets better. I am now sitting in my 4th floor room w/10' ceilings looking out the window at the rooftops and have also have a harbor view...enchanting. The living room is lovely...so easy to meet people and have a cocktail. I realize that all rooms... More
