A wonderful old refurbished house that once belonged to Federico Boyd one of Panama's founding fathers (1903). It is more of a boutique B&B than a hotel, but a luxury B&B! the ladies of the staff were all wonderful - led by the reservations manager Maria Eugenia who will do anything for you and speaks perfect English. The Hotel has... More

My wife and I visited Panama City in March, and wanted to wander Casco Antiguo easily, without the need for taxis or guides. The Canal House is the perfect lodging to do so from. Our host, Itzel, cared for us professionally and personally, and never were we without whatever we wanted or needed. Specialized breakfasts, an iPad in our suite,... More

I recently spent 4 nights with 3 adult family members in the Miraflores Suite. We purposely chose it for the Casco Antiguo location and the fact this suite could accomadate our party of four. This is a large 3 room suite with a very roomy bath and outdoor balcony. It was spotless and well appointed with the charm of the... More

I just finished up my first stay at the Canal House out in Casco and the rooms are just charming, quiet and well decorated. Definetely a classy boutique hotel. They serve a light breakfast and have a wonderful library/bar area and a great big room to sit around in and relax. The bedrooms are not shabby either and it comes... More

My husband and I spend a lovely overnight here. It was a real treat, so full of history and tradition. I felt I'd been whisked back in time. We stayed in the smallest of the three rooms but had all the room we needed. Overall, it was a memorable experience and I highly recommend it!

We spent 2 nights at this tastefully renovated bed and breakfast in the heart of Casco Viejo. We arrived late after a long day on a Panama Canal transit to find the central area of the Casco, as the locals call it, closed to vehicle traffic due to the Jazz Festival that weekend. We were dropped off at Las Clementinas... More

This is a 3-room hotel in the heart of Panama City's funky and wonderful Casco Viejo neighborhood. I stayed at the Canal House only one night, but I really liked it. The set-up is somewhat unusual - a lot of public space for just 3 rooms, and you have to ring the bell to get into the building (but they... More

We stayed just one night in the Miraflores Suite in the Canal House in January 2012. The location and the service make this property one of the best in Casco Viejo. The wrap around balcony allows you to observe all the activity in the area including the construction during the day and the nightlife as well. The number of buildings... More

Canal house and las Clementinas are run by the same people, both are excellent. Canal house has 3 rooms we rented the whole place for our fsmily for a night. Las Clementinas has more rooms. Rooms are fabulous. Both are in renovated old buildings so if you need elevators this is not for you. I love the old city. It... More

This is a really excellent place. We stayed in the Miraflores suite, which is massive and spotless. They provide complimentary wi-fi (sadly all too rare) and an ipad in the room for guest use. Finding English-speaking staff is a bit of an issue but the Spanish-speaking ladies couldn't be more patient and accommodating. Bear in mind that this is a... More
