I day tripped at Rio Mar Surf Hostel on several occasions in the course of my Panama trip. I surfed the point with Alan one day (on Stand Up Paddleboards) and found Alan to be a friendly and knowledgeable host-guide. Although not a five star resort, the facilities and staff are more than adequate for a surf safari.
