This hotel is near a beautiful public park and not too far from a playground for the kids. A short bus ride from the stop across the street or a 20-30 minute walk gets you to downtown. The fish resaraunt is a bit expensive, but outstanding. Great service, spacious room.

We spent two nights in The Ace Hotel (Hotel AS), Zagreb (www.hotel-as.hr) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. “As” has always been one of the most famous (and expensive) fish restaurants in Zagreb. A few years ago, the owner added some hotel rooms.
Rooms at Hotel As are large, well appointed, comfortable and very quiet. Not much atmosphere, though.
