This hotel is slap bang on Plaza Independencia. Very central and surrounded by beautiful buildings. Hotel itself is very non descript but the rooms are very good. Was upgraded foc to a suite which was enormous. Sleep quality very good. Front of staff very pleasant and professional. Beautiful dining room on top floor of hotel serving great breakfast with lots...

I arrived late and was too tired to recognize the cigarette smell in the room, not until about two o'clock at night when I suddenly woke up with a feel of having fallen asleep in a smoky bar. Thereafter I could not sleep anymore. By the time of booking, I specifically requested a non - smoking room. I therefore brought...

Good hotel, not great. Nice reception area and restaurants. Nice location. Run down like most of Montevideo. Nice service. I would stay again.
I stayed here for a work trip. Good location, helpful staff, and spacious rooms. But old, old, old. I got stuck in a smoking room, but amazingly it didn't smell like smoke. The Radisson is a perfectly good business hotel. The service is attentive and facilities are good. Its not the luxury of a five star, but its also cheaper. My only complaint is that my "non-smoking room" had ash trays and clearly smelled of smoke. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay.
Stayed here for work during a company event. Can't get a better location, as it is steps away from Ciudad Vieja (centered around the pedestrian street with charming architecture, cafes, galleries and shops, which goes all the way to Mercado del Puerto, where you have some great restaurants with excellent steak). Breakfast was probably the highlight of the hotel itself,...

This is a five star hotel don't let the hotel's exterior fool you! We found a great rate on line for $195. If you go in person and ask they will quote a $300 minimum so best to book on line. We had a room on the 23rd floor and the views were spectacular! Very spacious and clean rooms with...

Totally loving the Radisson. It's a splendid period building with all the interior fixtures and fittings totally untouched. The period is, of course, late 90's. Everything faintly smells of cigar smoke and faded grandeur, a Petra for the Friends generation. The restaurant on the 25th floor has panoramic views of the docks and container park. A nearly Olympic size solarium...

The restaurant on the top floor is the best thing about this hotel -- the place for a power lunch. Excellent location. The room was average.
