Good choise near Machu Picchu (train station 300m), quiet place and an intersting city, in the morning and in the evening ( many buses 1pm-4pm).Visit quietly the Inca's fortress before 12h.Thake time to visit the village.You will find restaurants, just good but take a drink at the Quechua Blues Bar : good atmosphere.Aguas Caliente : artificial, too many tourists.

So so place by looks, not good value for money...the most incredible thing about staying here..with only 2 other rooms occupied that night was that the other guests were in the room above and you could hear every single footstep.... On speaking to the manager the only comment was...."it is a known problem".... Dont stay here!

Perfectly acceptable hostal. Hot water a bit of a misnomer (lukewarm) and we weren't provided with soap, beds very hard. But all in all, simple and clean and views from front rooms were fantastic. Breakfast was nourishing - cereals, fruits, pancakes.
