We spent one night here after visiting the Ollantaytambo ruins in the afternoon, before catching the train to Aguas Caliantes the next morning Location is the big selling point. You are right next to the station, so don't have to move your luggage far, while it's a short and comfortable walk up the road into town. The gardens are lovely,... More

This little hotel is a nice place to stop overnight before taking the nearby train to Machu Picchu. It's clean, very well located and has a lovely garden. Our room was on the second floor and quite spacious with all that you need for a good night's sleep. We had dinner and breakfast here, and I would have to say... More

The hotel is great! It is located a short walk from the train station and to the central area of town offering many restaurants and stores. The hotel grounds are amazing. the room was very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was decent but not the best that we had n Peru,

This hotel was so cute. I wouldn't say the room was spacious, however it was adequate for the overnight stay that we had. We were taking the train the next morning to Machu Picchu. The service was outstanding. When we were getting ready to leave in the morning, the walk to the station was short, but we were pulling our... More

This hotel was conveniently located in Ollantaytambo within walking distance of the ruins and also the train station. It was well designed and out of the way yet maintained high quality service and great food in the restaurant. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Our time here was too short and we could easily have added a day to... More

I highly recommend spending the night in Ollay and taking the early train to Macchu Pichu. Hotel Pakaritampu is a lovely little hotel only a few minutes walk from the train station and the center of town. Friendly, helpful staff, small but beautifully landscaped grounds and rustic rooms. A pleasant stay with a great breakfast!

Clean room, comfy bed. Property is well kept and location is perfect for those continuing on to Machu Picchu by train (3 min walk from hotel). Breakfast spread was delicious. I would stay here again if/when I come back to Ollantaytambo!

Contrary to some of the negative reviews we read, we are really enjoying our stay at the Pakaritampu. The hotel is a cluster of individual buildings with about 6 rooms per building. We're on the second floor but the porter took all our bags up the stairs so it wasn't a problem. The grounds are gorgeous - filled with beautiful... More

We stayed at Hotel Pakaritampu for two nights before beginning the Inca Trail. In fact, I dreamed of the amazing shower/water pressure in our hotel bathroom each when I was on the Inca Trail. The grounds are absolutely GORGEOUS. Completely breathtaking. The staff here do an impeccable job of maintaining the property. Our room was big, clean, and had amazing... More
