Hostal Iskay is a very pleasant and quiet place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I visited in April, 2012 and was picked up at the Cuzco airport by a friendly fellow who was a good driver. After pointing out places of interest along the way, he delivered me safely to Hostal Iskay. My room was quite... More

The folks at Hostal Iskay are very friendly and speak way better english than I do spanish. Its just a short walk from the plaza and 15 minute walk to the train station. Stayed in the single - clean, hot shower and good breakfast. Wifi was a bit weak, but you can certainly move to the courtyard for better reception.... More

We loved our stay at Hostal Iskay. Anny (?) gave us a great welcome and showed us around the place to make us feel at home. We didn't need much while we were there, but she always gave us thorough information when we asked any questions. The young man working the front desk was also extremely pleasant. Breakfast was included,... More

We arrived at night. Recommend taking a taxi to hotel. While the 10-15 minute walk is along a well traveled road, the alley which the hotel is on is dark and somewhat unsettling. Just wanted to warn you. In the daytime the alley has a great view of the ruins just like the rooms. The rooms are small/cozy and clean.... More

Staying at Hostal Iskay was a real highlight of our South America trip. Our room was clean, beds very comfortable, shower cranked out the hot water, new fixtures in the bathroom. The grounds are beautiful, with spectacular views, and it's located in the old historic Incan section of Ollantaytambo with the great fitted stone blocks. But the real stars of... More

Our three families stayed at this lovely hostel which is on a steep hill side near the centre of town. Gardens suround each room and because of a fast moving river just below the hotel, all you hear day and night is the wind and fast moving waters. Because of the steep slope all you see standing outside your room... More

We had two great rooms - private, next to eachother, overlooking these spectacular ruins - that was perfect for our family of four. (The walk to the ruins was maybe 7 minutes.) The location in the old part of town was great, too, for exploring, and I loved the fresh flowers in the room. The breakfast was good (a buffet,... More

We were only at Iskay for one night but were made most welcome and everyone we met there was very helpful. We had a unique room (room 6) which had lovely views across the river to the ruins. We would definitely recommend this hostel.

We stayed for 4 days in early April. The location is great, in the old part of town, not far from the Plaza de Armas, restaurants & shops. We had a lovely, comfortable room with an awe-inspiring view of the mountains and ruins. Nice touches like fresh flowers and candles in our room. Christina & Lluc and their staff were... More

The location near the village square is convenient [*], the room I had was comfortable and considering the price charged it was incredibly good value. The breakfast buffet included in the room tariff is served in a restaurant around the corner and is above average – it included pancakes (as well as fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, cereal etc). While I... More
