This hotel is absolutely fine if you want to stay in Miraflores - walking distance from Parque Kennedy and Lacomar, and even the Huaca Puccllana ruins if you enjoy a good stroll. But in addition to staying here for one night, we also stayed elsewhere in downtown Lima, which is nearer to the main attractions as well as the airport.... More

Hey, it's called The Lighthouse (El Faro) after all, so it's appropriate that the one outstanding feature of this hotel is the exquisite view of the ocean and Miraflores from the rooftop bar/lounge. They have wifi, so we ordered food from the kitchen and enjoyed the cool breeze and the lovely views. El Faro is near all the big tourist... More

I'm a tour leader and I have stayed many times at El Faro Inn. One of the last times my computer was stolen from my room and the guest next door lost a computer and a camera. The hotel staff acted slowly and idle as the theft could have been avoided if they respected their own rules. The main suspect... More

Me and a friend stayed a couple nights here during a recent Peru trip. When I saw the description as a 'hostal' I was a bit concerned but there are separate rooms and toilets for visitors. It is actually more of a hotel and very close to Lover's Park and walkable to some decent restaurants/bars (Huaraches and Brujas de Cachiche).... More

The location is in the residential part of the touristic neighboardhood of Miraflores, you can walk 10 minutes from the hotel and reach the center of miraflores where you can find restaurants, shops, and night live. The place is very quiet and nice, and is near the ocean, you can go to run in the morning in the boulevard that... More

Hotel was clean & tidy and in a quiet street but with minimal staff and not that handy to shops & restaurants. Does not have a lift and the small ground floor café where a basic Peruvian breakfast is served is quite small so can become crowded. We stayed a night each at the start & finish of a tour... More

The toilet did not work for almost the whole stay until the last 15mins of the stay. It had been reported many times to the receptionist but they seem to forget the inquiry and only got it fixed after speaking with the manager. The receptionist, Karla was particularly rude, defensive and unhelpful. Given the other choices in the area, I... More

Stayed here with a group of friends before and after a volunteer program. There is a big difference between the rooms with the double bedding and the rooms with the twin beds. The twin or triple rooms are newer and fairly spacious and nice. The older rooms are cramped and feel very dated. So I would recommend asking for the... More

We stayed at El Faro for two nights. The rooms are very small, but relatively clean - the sheets/towels are freshly washed and changed daily, but the carpet could use more cleaning. The showers had some of the best pressure I've seen in Peru, but on the day we were leaving, the hot water ran out fast and didn't return.... More
