Straight forward simple hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and sufficient hot water for the shower. Great location for walking around for shopping or heading down to Larco Mall and the beach. Disappointed with this hotel - room (and hallway) stuffy and smelled like smoke. Didn't feel very clean. Staff were hit and miss - some very helpful, others not so much. Appreciated the free internet. Decent location in Miraflores - but you can find more convenient locations and better hotels for the price.

Some rooms were emptied like they were being rebuilt,, my room over looked a trash yard, but it looked-smelled clean and is basic enough to get by for a while. We were finishing a GAP trip and having read other reviews we were filled with some trepidation. However staff were always helpful. Breakfast was good and served promptly. Rooms were smart clean and well maintained. Hot water was always available. We certainly had no problems with security.

We stayed at Hotel Stefano's twice - once at the start of our GAP tour, and then again at the end. Our room the first time was ok, but had a very dodgy lock on the front door.
