At the beginning of may my son and I just had the most wonderful experience at muyuna . Boris and staff were great and our guide Jorge was so knowledgeable . He knew the rainforest like the back of his hand . We had a suite right on the river and it had its own balcony with the most amazing... More

We stayed at the Muyuna Amazon Lodge for a 2 night/3 days stay in late April 2012. Since we are a couple in the late sixties, we prefer to travel at our ease and had booked hotel in Iquitos for one night ahead and one night after our jungle expedition. The hotel were unable to offer airport pick-up, but on... More

We arrived at Muyuna in March for a 2 night, 3 day stay not knowing what to expect. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff, and had great service the whole time. The lodges were wonderful, imaculately clean and had great little patios with hammocks for relaxing after a trek. We were there during the rainy... More

Muyuna is an Amazon rainforest lodge, far up the Amazon River from Iquitos Peru. The boat ride to get there is an experience in itself, passing river dolphins and local people fishing in dug out canoes. A very swift and pleasant journey. The lodge is built on stilts on the side of the one of the Amazon tributaries. Staff are... More

We stayed for 4 days at Muyuna and it was wonderful. The bungalow we stayed in was comfortable and has modern plumbing EXCEPT no hot water (and there's no electricity there other than that they run a generator a few hours each night so you can recharge your batteries). The lack of some of the conveniences of the outside world... More

stayed at muyana for 4 nights in Feb. It was wet season so were not able to do as many walks as during dry season but that was ok with us as we got around on the boats instead! Saw heaps of wildlife, rooms were clean, food was delicious, our guide were so good at spotting birds and animals and... More

During early February (rainy season) 2012 I visited the Muyuna Lodge for a very brief stay (2 nights) for birdwatching. For birding, I saw many of the birds I was looking for including Wattled Curassow, Black-tailed Antbird, Rufous-necked Puffbird, Festive Amazon, and many other specialities of river islands and flooded forests. The trail directly behind the lodge was great for... More

We stayed at Muyuna for 4 days/3 nights in November as part of our honeymoon. The staff in Iquitos were very helpful communication-wise during the booking process (we had a lot of questions!) and came to pick us up from our hotel in Iquitos, which was nice. The staff at the lodge were wonderful and very attentive, and went to... More

the lodge was just enough 'adventure' for me ;) the 'no power' made the experince better - but i was still very happy to have a nice hot shower and a flush toilet in my room! the staff was great and the food was awesome. I dont usually like to travel to the same place twice - but i would... More

Had an excellent time here and highly recommend this place. We chose this as it seemed to offer a more authentic experience of the amazon than a lot of the lodges closer to Iquitos and it certainly delivered. It's 3 hours by fast boat from Iquitos and you really feel you are in the jungle when you arrive and during... More
