We had a wonderful stay at San Pedro Lodge and an unforgetable experience owing to the friendliness of our hosts Gart, Ernesto and Jino. To us, they were more like fellow travellers that you would meet along the journey and never wish to part again. They helped us out with lots of advice, provided us with an indept knowledge of... It was truly an incredible and unforgettable experience to stay in SanPedro Lodg, thery were very friendly and accommodating.Free pick up from Iquitos city or airport is a real bonus for tourist. I didn't expect I would get an accommodation in a rusticl jungle area. Every morning, I waked up by birds and insects...,every single moment breathed in with rich... More

Hi Carol! Thanks so much for your kind comments. I am glad you had such a nice experience traveling the Amazon with us. The hike to the lupuna tree is one of our favorites, too :-) We also enjoyed our Chinese language classes! Jino still remembers most of it, I'm afraid I have forgotten most words already. Old age, I´m... More

I visited the San Pedro Lodge with 3 of my friends and it was an incredible visit. The manager, Gart, and his team and their culinary skills are going to be missed! His team of guides including Jino and Ernesto are marvelous. The lodge is quite picturesque and is surrounded by a gorgeous lake. The accommodations are also very comfortable.... More

Had a great, if short, stay at the San Pedro Lodge. Both Manager Gart and Cook/Swiss Army Knife Ernesto are very dedicated to making guests feel at home. On top of that, the beds are comfy and the huts are safe and there are cats dogs and a little monkey that create some action. I had the honor of participating... More

My wife and I have a wonderful stay at the Lodge. In the dry season you will have a walk to get to the lodge from the river but is a great chance to see the flora and fauna of the area. The food was also great. They prepared both veg and nonveg meals at our request and always served... More

Hi Jake! Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it. It was a pity that Molly wasn't feeling too well, so I am all the more pleased you enjoyed your stay anyway. Maybe we can welcome you back to the lodge one day for another visit. Kind regards to both of you! Gart More

Very reasonably priced, friendly jungle lodge started by a Norwegian. You will be met at the airport my Gart, the host. From there it is a MotoKar ride to a boat, and a half hour trip to the lodge with a walk at the end. The river was very low when we were there (early September) so the walk was... More

We had a fantastic couple of days at the lodge. San Pedro is less expensive than alot of other amazon lodge trips but it is definitely not a budget experience! The manager Gart is very knowledgeable about the area and organised a fantastic day trip for us. The lodge itself is clean, comfortable and in a fantastic location. Perfect for... More

My boyfriend and I were on a tight budget as we planned our trip to Iquitos; being students we were put off by the steep prices the other lodges were asking for, therefore we initially looked at San Pedro purely because of their reasonable prices. I can imagine people would be wary about taking a chance on this friendly little... More
