After being offered a jungle trip from another agency, which was too pricey and didn't sound that good, we walked into Amazonian Trips office and talked to Walter. He showed us pictures of his jungle lodge and explained the tour in details and I must admit it sounded too good to be true. However, when we got to the lodge... More

I arrived in Iquitos and met Walter, the owner of Amazonian Trips, while he was at our hotel to welcome a new couple that would be staying with him, which I thought was a nice thing for him to do. We joined the couple on route to Walters office by moto taxi, which Walter paid for, so he could show... More

We had an amazing time in the lodge with Raul (our guide) and the rest of the staff (thanks to the cook as well). The organization before coming was really good, very responsive and very helpful, thanks to Debbie for this ! We have done and seen so many things (activities, animals, flowers and much more). I would definitely recommand... More

WOW, we booked the trip as per advice from friends and had the most amazing experience. Raul is great and friendly - we spend 3 nights, 4 days with him and saw many animals, sampled lots of fresh local fruits, ate delish fish, swam in the rivers.. . I had been in the Amazon rivers before (Manaus, Brazil) but prefered... More

We went to the lodge in the middle of October; the weather was sunny, hot and humid. Walter picked us up from the airport and escorted us along the Amazon river to the lodge. There, we were greeted by Cesar, who would be our private guide for the 3 days and 2 nights we were there. The staff was simply... More

Myth partner and I visted the lodge in November, and as it was low season we had the place to ourselves for 2 of the three nights we stayed there (there was only one other couple with us on the first night! The lodge itself is located about 1.5 hours by boat from Iquitos, and the lodge was very clean,... More

I first visited the Chullachaqui lodge back in April 2009, it was my first time in the jungle and booked the trip via my hostel in Lima while on a backpacking trip through Peru. Upon arrival into Iquitos, i was transferred to my hotel (La Pascana, not the greatest one in town, but sufficient for a night before I headed... More

If you go to Iquitos in Peru you should definately do a trip with Amazionian Trips to Chullachaqui Lodge, we had the most amazing time there. You stay deep in the jungle in a beautiful lodge (when we went the river was high so it was a floating lodge), whereas the other tour companies just take you in the area... More

We stayed at the lodge at the end of july 2011, and at the beginning we got the same impression as other writers in this block that it was a nice place. But it did not continue that way.. Maybe we were just unlucky, but the truth is that there was a very lazy attitude among the staff, perhaps because... More

Firstly I want to extend my sincere apologies to you. I am extremely disappointed that you had a bad experience. I feel it is important for me to explain that this is not a normal experience for Chullachaqui Lodge. I don't know what happened but I can assure you that I am looking into the issues that you discussed to... More

After a 100km ride from Iquitos up the Amazonas I arrived directly at this beautiful lodge. Thanks to the highwater because of the passed rain season I did not even need to walk. The lodge an architectural well planned and build retreat. I stayed 2 nights and 3 days. After Easter I was the only guest. The staff took really... More
