Great price room was clean, the owner even went to pick us up from the train station, very friendly. We got a room in the back with private bathroom. Was the best price we could find for a place like this in aguas calientes which tends to be an expensive town by peruvian standards.

In comparison to the other possibilities in Aguas Calientes, from far the most price-reasonable. The rooms are clean and much nicer in comparison to many in the same price range all over Peru. The people where very nice and helpful. One evening I forgot my camera in one of the internet cafes in Aguas Calientes. The next morning when I... More

The dingy walls of your room will melt away as you close your eyes and fill your lungs with the heady aroma of mold. How exciting to think that some of those Andean spores may actually be descendants of the ones that covered the walls of Mr. Bingham's canvas tent back in 1911. Even with your eyes open you'll marvel... More

I stayed there with my husband for one night, to go to Machu Picchu the next day. It's close to the train station, rooms are rather basic but if you don't bother the slashed insects on the walls it is a decent hostel. It has also hot water and you can leave your luggage there (we did this and take... More

I stayed in this hotel for one night after visiting Machu Picchu. It was fine for one night to rest after trekking. A private room with bathroom (very clean, towels etc provided) was 30 soles (single). I had a view towards the mountains, no hotel noise and no bar noise-it was really quiet as the trains don't use the tracks... More

I decided to walked along the railways to arrive to Aguas Calientes, in my way to Machupicchu. There were 10 long km under the rain, so when i finally saw the end of the path, the only thing i wanted was a hot shower and dry clothes. Hostel Los Caminantes was the first place i saw on my left while... More

I ended up making reservations at this place when I got scared everything would fill up from Cusco a few days before we arrived and if I hadn't had a reservation I would have left. The location is just off the main drive along the train tracks which makes for a very noisy room. Our first room smelled very strongly... More

We were looking for an inexpensive way to spend the night in the town of Machu Picchu, next to the famous ruins. We heard of a hotel called Hostal Los Caminantes located close to the train station, and right next to the center of town. A friendly staff and proprietor showed us to our clean rooms with a view of... More

This place was alright for 20 soles per person. Conveniently located near the path to Putucusi and to Machu Picchu, as well as the train back to Ollantaytambo/Cuzco. This is also an inconvenient when train stop on the tracks with its noisy motor and sounding its horn. It has comfortable beds and hot water if you don't put the pressure... More
