This hotel is a good 15 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. However, it is close to Avenida Sol and the large textiles market in Cusco so the location is good. It is close to Qoricancha and allows you to see some of the city outside of the really touristy parts. It also provides great views of the mountainside... More

Enjoyed my stay here! Really central and near many markets! Very reasonable! Staff was great, rooms were good! Breakfast could be better! Found this b&b to be chilly but the staff accommodated us by bringing a heater for our room!

I did this trip as a Spanish teacher with 10 students, my wife, and two other teachers. Centenario was a perfect place for us. It was booked for us by EF Tours, so I didn't choose it. I read the other reviews before the trip, and was a bit worried. However, after staying there for four different nights, I think... More

Mold on shower walls and shower curtain. Noisy and got sick from the breakfast. Not a safe neighborhood. A real dump. Employees claim they had not been paid. Booked through Texas AAA and Travel Bound. Do not use either travel company as they recommended this dump. Employees could not dail long distance from switch board.

Stayed 3 non-consecutive nights at this hostel. The hostel is about a 15 minutes walk from the main square. Hostel staff was very helpful: from providing information, to assistance in booking taxi and luggage storage. The rooms were clean and each has a portable heater, which was nice. The floor/roof are wooden and may squeak when someone is walking in... More

During our tour of Peru, we stayed in hotel Centenario on two occasions. The hotel provides a good value and you get exactly what you pay for. As with other reviews, it could get a little chilly in the room due to the lack of in-room heater. In addition, hot water was not always available either. While definitely not in... More

I stayed at the Hostal Centenario with a group of 40 teachers and students as part of our tour. We were there for 5 days. It was our favorite hotel while on the tour. The staff was very friendly and helpful to the entire group. They had a lot of patience with my Spanish students and were accomodating to our... More

We spent a couple of nights at Hostal Centenario either side of a of walking the Lares Trek. The triple room we were given was spotless with plenty of space to spread out and organise your kit. Bathroom was clean and no issues with hot water. Although the room overlooks a 'sports complex' to the rear, we personally didn't find... More

Obviously the Hostal Centenario has improved since most of these reviews were written. I stayed in 6 different hostals while in Peru and the Centenario was my favorite. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and they have TVs. The breakfast was the most elaborate of the hostals I said in. The only downside I can find is that the carpets... More

Our 3rd visit in a week as a result of rearranged Itinerary - love coming back as the staff especially the guy on front desk are so friendly. Each time we have had a triple room so very spacious rooms next to sports pitch can be noisy. Breakfast by Peruvian Hostal standards is pretty good with scrambled eggs & cheese... More
