Man, I love this little city in the mountains. What a beautiful place full of beautiful people. El Grial was a great place to stay. WiFi, though a little weak, is available. Breakfast every morning is complimentary with coffee, coca tea, eggs, awesome Peruvian bread, great marmalade, and a neat little atrium to eat in. The showers were hot, the... More

We had a very good time in this hostal during our stay in Cusco. First of all, this hostal is well situated in the San Blas neighborhood (10 minutes walk to go to the Plaza de las Armas). The rooms are nice and clean. All the people were very kind with us and competent (they help us to manage our... More

Beautiful hostal with lots of colonial charm and bright Peruvian sunshine! Very clean, reasonable cost, nice private bathroom with very hot shower. The beds were comfortable and warm, breakfast was good and the service was excellent, despite our struggles with Spanish. In-room safe was included. The San Blas area is lovely and seemed to be very safe. Convenient to the... More

I took a taxi from the main square to this hostel. I showed the taxi driver the address but he dropped me on the other side of the street. I called the hostel and the nice stuff Eloy was waiting for me on the street. He helped me to carry my luggage upstairs into my room after checking in. It´s... More

We met some travellers in Cuenca who recommended Hostal El Grial to us and we are glad they did! We felt very safe here. It is located in a quiet and charming area of San Blas and I so much enjoyed wandering the streets of this fascinating area. The staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful in every way. I... More

We have just spent 8 nights in Hostal El Grial in Cusco. It is located in San Blas, a very nice area of Cusco, also known as the artist quarter. It's not far from the main area of Cusco. We walked everywhere, the uphill is not that bad, besides, it's great to wander the streets and see more of Cusco.... More

Long-time staffer Eloy is a wonderful help, and the hotel is right-sized and quiet in the prettiest part of the historic Cusco. The beautiful Sacsaywayman park, the best restaurants and most other attractions are easily walkable, once you're acclimated. (Take taxis until you are, especially uphill.) The triple room costs a litttle more but is large and has a great... More

Highly recommend El Grial. The staff are great and they will bend over backwards to help you out. When we left for the Salkantay trek they packed us an early breakfast which was a great touch. They also held onto our bags for when we got back and everything was still in tact. Not far from the Plaza de Armes... More

We moved to Hostal El Grial after developing a strong dislike for our first hotel in Cusco. The staff is warm, the wooden floors, high ceilings and white walls give a warm, spacious feeling to the rooms and overall hostal. Free internet (and 1 computer for guest use!). We stayed here before and after our Inca Trail tour, and would... More

This place was great. I got really sick during my stay in Peru (the flu) and couldn't get out of bed for several days because I had a terrible fever. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Great location, friendly staff and a good value overall.
