This was our second hostel in Cusco (first was rubbish) and we ended up staying four nights in total. Very helpful staff, good breakfast, free coffee and coca tea, hot water 24 hours and the wifi worked without fail. A couple of blocks from town and only a small gradient to walk up, good when you just arrive and don't... More

Neat and tidy. This slightly off the beaten track Hostel provides everything you need and service you'll remember! The staff here go out of their way to ensure that your stay in Cuzco will be a memorable one. The best mattress I have ever found in a Hostel, endless hot water, a perpetual stream of coca tea and kindness is... More

The staff here were really lovely and friendly. There was good wifi and hot water and free coca tea which was a nice touch. It was perfectly clean. The kitchen was a bit too small and basic to really be able to use though. Breakfast was basic. It's fine as far as hostels go but not outstanding. Ultimately though, I... More

I spent 9 nights in the hostel with my girlfriend. The rooms were simple but well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was standard bread and jam although cooked options were available. The hostel has an ideal location about 5 minutes walk from plaza de armas and 1 minute from San Pedro markets. Above all, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly... More

I spent two nights at Mama Simona, and even though the second was unexpected, the staff were very happy to accommodate my change of plans (I originally booked one night on booking.com via tripadvisor---which was really convenient!). The rooms are very, very clean with fresh linens, each bed has a locker (don't forget to bring a lock with you!) and... More

The staff at this hostel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the furnishings quite nice. We were surprised to also have a t.v., which was actually nice for our first day in Cusco when we suffered a bit from the altitude! I really liked the high ceilings over the sitting area... More

Mama Simona - I found it hard to leave! The slogan of Mama Simona is home of friends and it really did feel like that. Mama Simona is not a party hostel, it is a clean, spacious and comfortable hostel run by a wonderful couple. Marionella speaks great English and every time I had any questions or needed help in... We stayed almost a week in Mama Simona during our time in Cusco. The owner is an extremely helpful young lady who puts her all into the place. The beds were very comfortable, the showers always hot, and the rooms clean. Wifi almost everywhere in the place as well. The only minor issue would be the breakfast, but it all... More
