I reserved a double room through email and got a notification that our double bed room was reserved. When we arrived to Samay Wasi 1, it turned out that they didn´t have a double bed room for us because they had already given it to somebody else, strangely. We decided not to make a fuss and took a twin room.... More

I have to start with a thankful word to Monica, how helpful and friendly she is. We came back to Samay Wasi again after our trip to Machu Pichu, and many other travelers did the same, so this explains how happy is everyone. I strongly recommend, the stairway is well worth the climb to get there. And the view is... More

This best thing about this hostel is the staff. They are friendly and help organise tours for you as well as meeting you at the bus station or airport. The rooms were average and it is quite noisy. The breakfast was poor, a white roll with jam. Some fruit or something would have made it a bit better. More

We stayed couple of nights at Samay Wasi I, and we enjoyed our stay. Rooms are clean and shower is hot. Staff is friendly and helpful. They came at the bus station to pick us up for free. They have a nice common area with a terrace, 2 computers and TV. You can also use the small kitchen for cooking.... More

I stayed in Samay Wasi I based on tripadvisor reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I stayed there before and after visiting Machu Picchu and my luggage was kept secure whilst away. I stayed in two different single rooms with private bathroom, and would recommend staying on the top floor, as you hear noise through the wooden floors during the night... More

We stayed here for 3 nights prior to our inca trail trip in a private room. It is very basic here, but there are at least 4 thick blankets on the bed changed every day, hot water, the most helpful staff who collect you from the airport. 3 nights private cost us 70 dollars. Can not beat this place! More

72 soles for a double room with a private bathroom, including breakfast (the hostel accepts dollars) This hostel is great however it is very expensive. Therefore I only stayed for two nights before I moved onto a cheaper hostel, of the same quality as I wanted to spend about two weeks in Cusco. (There are plenty of similar hostels for... More

I stayed here for four nights in total. All the staff were so friendly and helpful! I stayed in a dorm style room that had a large bathroom attached with hot showers. There was internet connection upstairs. They even let me leave my baggage there free for a few days when I went to visit Machu Picchu. Any questions you... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in Cusco. The hostel is located in the San Blas neighborhood, which means you're going to be walking up lots of stairs and hills to get back to your room. The bonus of that is there are few cars in this neighborhood, making it very quiet and peaceful in an otherwise busy tourist town.... More

We stayed at Samay Wasi I for 4 nights in June 2011, 2 nights before we started the Inca Trail and 2 nights upon our return. The hostel is ideally located being only a 10 minute walk to the main square, Plaza de Armas, with other restaurants and shops nearby. The staff are lovely and always willing to help with... More
