I make a reservation in this hostal. The architecture is really nice, ambient is quiet, and have a very good breakfast. Problem start with the hot water when we wake up very early to our tours an never end when we come back. Hostal have a problem whit water as well as others hostal in cusco. The problem was they... The hostal was fine and we enjoyed our stay, but I would caution guests to be careful if you leave your cases in the hostal store. One of our cases was broken into while we were at Machu Picchu and although the manager helped us report it to the police, who were very clear that it was an "inside job".... More

Really nice hostel and rooms. Clean! Very nice and helpful personal. Location is as well good no more than 10min. walk to Plaza de Armas. First we have stayed in Amaru Hostal (the same hostal chain). We have stayed longer as we planned in Cusco and unfortunately Amaru was booked out so we got offer to stay at Mallqui and... More

Hostal Mallqui is great! They sent a complimentary taxi upon our arrival at the airport to pick us up. The facilities are clean. They provide free internet, free "American" breakfast (1 egg cooked any way, fruit salad, coffee with milk, fresh squeezed orange juice, and fresh baked bread), and free cocoa tea in the lobby. There are also board games... More

Stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed my stay. Apart from a broken toilet the first night the rest was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful despite not speaking much English. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard everyday and the free wifi and tea was very much appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful with various drinks, eggs,... More

Located 4 blocks from Plaza D'Armas & in a quiet location away from the noise. The hostal has been tastefully decorated & quite modern. Has a lovely courtyard in the middle though they played music from the stereo in the kitchen, and the sound carried through to our room which overlooked the courtyard. They changed our sheets everyday & the... More

I only stayed one night at the Mallqui Hostal and it was pleasant enough. The rooms were ok for the price (37USD for a double) but the toilet was very small. Everything else was fine but it was quite noisy. I could hear all conversations taking place anywhere in the hostel from my room and when everyone is waking up... More

I have stayed at the Mallqui four times. Each time, I have had a comfortable room, the staff are all friendly, helpful, and great. Rooms are comfortable, cable TV with movie channels, immaculate bathroom with hot showers, and so quiet. I never hear a peep at night, and I am a light sleeper. Breakfast is charming, consisting of fresh juice,... More

We stayed here 9 nights during our trip in Cusco. We did lots of research to find the best value hotel and Mallqui is it! For $30 a night you get a lovely clean, spacious room and a yummy American breakfast every morning! You get cable tv- 100 channels, hot water and your room cleaned and towels changed every day!...
