Rooms were very clean, but simple. Beds were more comfortable than most in Peru. Shower was excellent! The staff were very friendly and helpful; they even stored luggage for us when we did an overnight excursion to the Colca Canyon. Good central location - 2 blocks off the Plaza de Armas, one block from the main pedestrian shopping street. Would... More

This hotel is overpriced, dirty rooms with bedding that does not fit the beds leaving large sections of the mattresses exposed - took an hour and four calls to get sheets onto the beds. Room was cramped and the noise from the casino and the smell of smoke was unbelievable. Great location but if you can, go somewhere else.

The Hotel Crismar is the place to stay in Arequipa. It is centrally located across the street from the Post Office and two blocks from the Plaza de Armas. Karin and Bernie DioGuardi who own and manage the hotel are a delight. They are fluent in English and willing to go out of their way to be helpful. All of... More

We had one night here and arrived late afternoon. The staff on duty at reception did not speak English, but were cheerful and friendly. The room was small, but had large comfortable beds and a tv. The bathroom was large and well appointed. There was no heating or cooling, but the late afternoon sun streaming through the window kept the... More

I stayed at the Crismar for one month (got a job in Arequipa for the summer), so I think I know what I am talking about. The Crismar is a basic, nice hotel. Location is great (walking distance to most of the Arequipa highlights: Plaza de Armas, Catedral, Iglesia de los Jesuitas, Convento de Santa Catalina, calle San Francisco, etc.);... More

I went to Arequipa on business. My husband came along with me. We stayed at the Crismar Hotel following a colleague's recommendation. The rooms have been recently renovated. We found everything very clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic; we could walk almost everywhere: the Plaza de Armas, stores, the main restaurants. Breakfast is good and the staff really goes... More

The Crismar hotel in Arequipa is very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was average (eggs, coffee or tea, buns and jam). The location is very good (1 block from the main plaza), and the views from some of the upper floors of the Cathedral would be amazing. My only complaint about the hotel is that the staff did not speak... More

Arequipa is spectacular. Hotel is in great location. Walk to Convent of Santa Catalina, Cathedral, main plaza, etc. Had view of Cathedral towers from our very comfortable, newly renovated 5th floor room! Staff was friendly and helpful, even helped plan our trip to Colca Canyon. Complimentary breakfast included eggs, cereals, breads, juices and great coffee!! Will stay there again.

The Crismar hotel is only located two blocks from the Plaza de Armas, making it ideal for walking to restaurants, shopping,etc.... The staff was extremely helpful in helping us to find tours, shopping, and other attractions. The restaurant served great food and I found the service to be excellent, much better than most places in the US. I will recommend... More
