Lovely new-ish hostal, comfy beds and pillows, clean room and bathrooms, great communal kitchen, lovely outdoor seating area. Close to central part of town. Would def recommend. More

After a long journey from Bolivia, I wanted a clean, warm, and fun hostel for once. I walked around Arequipa's main center where most of the hostels are and found "El Solar de la Macarena" which had just opened that same month (February 2008). The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, gave me great information on what to do and... More
