Located in an upscale neighborhood walking distance from Old Town Cuenca. Beautiful Hotel with an excellent staff, about half of which spoke at least some English. My main complain is not actually about the hotel it self, although the hotel is not as good as other travelers has described. The location is out side the historic center but it is not too far and it is almost quiet except for the ventilation from the kitchen. The room is big but very old. clean and good shower.... More

Very clean, nice beds, good breakfast and makes you feel at home. We loved the location being only a very short walk to the old town and a block away from a small upperscale mall with a supermarket. Reception staff speaks English and was helpful. Great value for the money.

Hotel is about a 7/10 minute walk into the historic city, so good location. Taxi would be best at night. Locally I walked out in the evening without any problem. My room was spacious and clean. La Casona is clean, comfortable, and well located. It is a hostel type setting. You have off-street parking, if needed. You can walk to Cuenca's city center in 10 minutes.
