Nice Vasco dueño and a great little restaurant serving tapas dishes. Recommended. Really nice restored building and attentive staff. A great 2 nights.

A really great feel to this turn of the century building. Nice rooms and ultra clean. Operated by pros. A little expensive compared to other places in Ecuador but Cuenca seems to be more expensive than Quito. Friendly staff willing to do anything possible to have a great stay.
This is a lovely hotel right in the heart of old Cuenca. The pictures of the common areas of the hotel are realistic, though our room was considerably smaller (though attractive) than the one or ones pictured. But the staff was super-helpful (and good in English), and the breakfast was nice, with some choice. The tapas restaurant associated with the...

quaintly restored, without over doing the decoration (not so much the case in other restored hotels...), very helpful staff, good spanish (basque) tapas restaurant as part of hotel
We liked the location of this hotel, in the heart of Cuenca and the old colonial style is great to stay in, but it can be noisy. They should have signs up to ask people to respect the other guest in the hotel. Some people forget they are sharing a hotel with others. It's the late at night or early...

I stayed at the Inca Real early this month (March 2012) and only stayed for one night as we short on time. I am glad we chose this hotel because it was only a few blocks away from the major attractions in the historical center. The hotel has lots of charm with its colonial architecture and small patios that divide...

We spent 4 nights at the Inca Real and enjoyed the colonial building. It is within walking distance to most attractions in the old town. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, allowing us a later check out and arranging our transport to Guayaquil via 7 seat van for $12/ea (a nice change from the regular bus, with only one...

Great option in the hart of the city, only a few blocks from the main square. Like its located in the center of colonial Cuenca, also this building is an old colonial mansion. Beautiful decorated and well maintained. Lovely courtyards all roofed are adjacents to the beautiful rooms. Some of the rooms further backwards are smaller. The breakfast buffet is...

I have stayed at this hotel now on 6 occasions with a large group. While not a luxury hotel, the rooms are small but comfortable. There are several large suites that could accomodate a family. The staff while largely not fluent in English are friendly and try to help. The food is excellent. There is a small bar off the...
