Nice but the gulf between this place and the no. 1 hotel in Cuenca is vast. The service was good, the accomodation simple albeit clean and comfortable. The location is good and would definitely reccomend this hotel however if youre looking for "upmarket", this isnt it.

Beautiful Colonial surroundings, a kind, courteous and attentive staff and the superb location made me feel coddled. The roof top breakfast every morning had fresh juice, egg choices, waffles or French toast...I loved it. My advice to travelers would be to bring a travel bedside light, as in Ecuador the people are very ecologically conscious; lighting is dim everywhere.

My husband and I loved the location, charm, and above all, service and friendliness of the staff. The shower booth with multiple jets is quite an experience, we also got a free transfer tothe airport. Value for your money was very good.
