Beautiful hotel on the Napa River. This hotel is close to a lot of activities. The rooms were nice. Balconies with hammocks a definite plus. The food was so-so. Buffet style. Service was good. Lots of steps to rooms.

Four of us arrived at the hotel with no connection with any tour. Of the 4 in the group 3 were fluent in spanish and one was Ecuadorian. Upon arrival I ask I was told i had a river view, which was true but wasn't completely happy with it. So off to the front desk I go and that's where...

The whole facility with pool and dining area, as well as the rooms are nice and clean, without any internet and TV. Buffet offered for lunch and dinner are simple and of good quality. The service is rather poor. Poor in the sense of beeing present and helpfull for questions and wishes. As examples it was not possible to get...

We traveled here for two nights as part of a Gate 1 Travel tour of Ecuador. (Excellent tour by the way) As others point out you arrive by a long motorized boat that they call a 'canoe'. Very pleasant trip to the hotel, with many steps up to the hotel. Our room #401 was in a very convenient location with...

Getting to this great hotel is half the fun and half the adventure. You travel by dugout canoe to get to the hotel and from the hotel to anywhere around it (such as a jungle tour). The hotel sits high on the hill (lots of stairs to get up to it and back down) but the view of the Napo...

I really like this place - really. It's about 85% of the way to being a seriously awesome rain forest retreat.
The grounds are very well kept with abundant flowers and even some snails. The walkways are covered, so if it rains (as it sometimes does in a rain forest), guests are covered.
The meals are buffet style - and...

It was our first visit to Ecuador and we wouldn't have known of this place if it hadn't been for the packaged tour through Gate 1 Travel. After traveling miles over the Andes from Quito, through the rain forest to a boat landing on the Napo River we weren't sure what to expect when we boarded the canoes and headed...

Located on the banks of the Napo River, it's Paradise Lost, Casa del Suizo! The guest rooms are just rustic enough to make you feel like an Amazonian explorer in the old days. Leave your computer at home, because nobody needs to find you anyway! Personal highlights include: butterfly farm, bird watching, rain forest treks (in the RAIN),animal rescue center,...

Everything about our week at the lodge was brilliant. We had 3 guides who were at our side for the whole week. We had 2 excursions a day and they were beautiful, exciting and informative. One of my favourite highlights, (and there were many) was the nightly air show by the pool preformed by a roop of bats that dipped and...

We spent five days in this lodge and had a very pleasant time. I consider that being at the jungle there were more than enough commodities, buffets were wonderful and abundant. Rooms were very confortable and nicely decorated, balconies had an amazing panoramic view. Not sure what the person below us expected when staying in the jungle.
I would highly...
