“Nice Hostel, Good Location, Noisy Room”

This review is for Luz Azul Hostel in the new location on Ave. Moneda 2350. The hostel has good location. It is located only three blocks from the metro station Republica. The neighborhood is OK, but it is within short walking distance everywhere and it was safe. The building is nice, outside and inside. Especially inside it has been nicely... More

“Good as heaven”

This hostel was one of the nicest that I stayed on south america, but now is closed because of the earthquake :( , they told me that the same owner and staff are now at princes insolente hostel. I will try it next time I'm in Santiago.

The LUZ AZUL was great for us last year! The staff were helpful, the atmosphere was very nice (clean, pretty, organized) and the infrastructure was complete (Internet, video game, cable TV, good kitchen, etc). The location is great, is close to one of the postcards in Chile (La Moneda, about 15 minutes walking) and close to one of the subway... More

On arrival we were told that the private room we had booked was not going to be available until the second of the three nights we had booked for, and this was apparently due to a change of ownership. We were offered a communal room, which after two flights and 10 hours in transit, did not please us at midnight.... More
