After reading some of the reviews I was prepared for the worst but pleasantly surprised. The hotel is quite centrally located in Chinatown, with everything you'd need nearby. After a fast, efficient and friendly check-in I found myself in what was a decently sized decently maintained room. The room is strangely shaped – the bed is sort of recessed into... More

The hotel is centrally placed, but the rooms are too small & there is no place even to open your baggage. The rooms are not worth the price we are paying.

We booked with friends same time, same price!!. They got a pleasent room, ours was awful. To small to even unpack a case, no room even for a bedside table or anything to put a case on ,it was grubby, smelly, the aircon did not work, so we asked for another, The next room was bigger however the toilet had... Centrally located, close to underground station and amidst the hustle and bustle of the colorful china town. Rooms well appointed, though really small with tiny bathroom. My room was without a window, but it did not bother me that much as during day time was out sightseeing. Friendly and helpful staff. Good and cheap place to stay in Singapore. Breakfast... More

I was here last weekend for a 3D2N stay with my mum. We checked in on Saturday afternoon, process was quite fast but like what some reviews stated do not feel welcome by the receptionist (a man), no eye contact and no smile. It's not actually a big deal, the problem is, while we are going up to 3rd floor,... More

I stayed in Santa Grand Hotel Chinatown for 4 nights, and had booked a single standard room. Pros: 1. Best location to stay in Singapore (Chinatown) and also just 5 min walk to MRT 2. Very Friendly Staff 3. Decent Breakfast (don't expect a full fledged US breakfast) 4. Rooms' design were more of a boutique style, its different and... More

I visited the Santa Grand Hotel in the run up to Chinese New Year. My room overlooked the street below and all the life of crowds, shops and stalls. It was a great location, close to the MRT station and lots of eating options. I would defintely stay here again. The entrance to the hotel is on Temple Street. It... More

In this hotel we stayed 4 people one night, 2 children age 5 and 7 and 2 adults. Very funny room, small but comphy, purple velvet cover on all furnifures and gold painting on the chairs. Actually i felt like i was in a Salvadore Dali universe. Very different from any other place i ever been. I think expensive for... More

I stayed at Santa Grand Chinatown earlier this year, and considering that hotel prices in Singapore are so high, I decided to once again stay at this hotel during my visit to this lovely city. The room was still clean and quiet, although the rates had increased a bit since my previous stay. A cool thing that was new this... More

I had stayed in the Saff on my last trip to Singapore (I come here 3-4 times per year) and found it very agreeable, so was keen to try another Chinatown boutique hotel. Should have stayed with the Saff. I regretted this place from the moment I checked in. The receptionist was surly and charged my stay up front, which... More
