There is nothing really wrong with this hotel. However there is a sign on the building next door (right side). It says "Live music lounge Monday to Sunday 11pm to 6am". And I can vouch for the fact that it did start at 11pm and did not finish until 6am! However since I appeared to be the only sleepless one... More

Very clean. Helpful staff. Good value. Good central position close to Raffles and Clarke Quay. Good breakfast. A bit noisy in the morning after 8.00 am as there is some major building work going on at the back of the hotel. Rooms are small but ok. If you are a couple make sure you know each other well as there... More

All the hotel rooms are very small. We received a room which overlooked a construction site and the noise inside the room was unbearable even with the windows shut. We went back to the reception to ask for another room facing the front of the hotel and we were greeted with a very unfriendly reaction - the staff at the... More

We stayed three nights, and found the hotel to be satisfactory. The location is fantastic as you can just walk a few blocks to the MRT, Clarke Quay and the River walk. The rooms are small and well decorated, the beds are comfortable, the TV and air conditioning worked well, and the breakfast was good. The only problem we encountered... More

We only stayed for 1 night on our way back home and we were very pleased with our choice. It's next to Clarke Quay, and 1 metro station from Chinatown, a perfect place for a 1 day city trip. The staff was very helpfull and we appreciated the free shower & towels (10 hours after check-out). Breakfast was good also.... More

I stayed here 2012 Apr for 1week, room is not fancy perhaps "as required" basis but convenient location and budget still deserve to stay. Clark Quay and BoatQuay both are in few minutes walk, visiting China Town is also in good walking distance like 10-15min, even city center around Raffles can be in walking territory. This location is really convenient... More

We went to visit Singapore in April 2011 and decided to stay at The BEST WESTERN Jayleen 1918, mainly because it was next to practically everything and most importantly, the tube station was a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Since Singapore was an extremely expensive place we were quite surprised at the wallet-friendly rates and we didn't expect the rooms... More

We enjoyed our stay at Jayleen 1918. The location is excellent - between Boat Quay and Clark Quay, close to shopping, food, museums. Clean rooms and friendly staff. We had four suitcases in a double room and found room for everything. Would happily return.
