We stayed in the POW at boat quay - a perfect place for a drink at night, and within a 5-10 minute walk of several MRT lines making the rest of the city easily accessible. China town is only a short (15minute) walk too. POW is also a live singer/band pub, but we still slept easily on the only night... More

Good location but be careful if you drink/eat outside as the young chap who serves in the garden makes up his own prices and short changes... Very very dodgy place...

Most pleasant accommodation in Singapore for me. I first stayed at the Prince of Wales Backpacker hostel in April 2010. Malcolm welcomed us with a friendly smile and refreshing drinks. The place and people had good vibes. My friend and I were sold. We stayed at the mixed dorm room. It was clean and the beds' mattresses were excellent! There... More

I stayed in the Adelaide room and my expectations were far beyond met. The room was large and had an aircon, the dorm beds also had aircon which isn't always easy to find. The toilets and washrooms were always clean and up to par. The noise is only on scheduled nights and normally turns into good fun if you are... More

I stayed in both the Darwin and Canberra rooms during my stay - both rooms were good value for money. Bathroom is shared between the two rooms so no long queues. Breakfast was included - unlimited eggs, toast and fruit etc... which was more than adequate. The only slight negative was that the Wifi connection in the private rooms was... More

The hostel is one of the best i've been in my last trip.. It's clean (which says a lot), and the bathrooms are clean also, altough I didn't understand why there is no bathroom only for ladies.. You have two computers and free wifi.. also discount in food and beverage in the bar downstairs,, The only thing, is that there... More

at first: sorry for my bad English! We slept together in a double room for 3 nigths, the rooms were clean, tidy and pritty furnished. The bathroom was to share with the other double room, it was clean but i saw the one and only roach of Singapore in this bathroom! As i arrived i brought 4 bottles of beer... More

Our stay in POW Boat Quay was unfortunately not an enjoyable one. When we first arrived we had high hopes that we had found a great accommodation, the location is very good, however it quickly went downhill. The room appeared clean on first impressions, but during a search for my lost earplugs, I discovered a 2 inch thick layer of... More

We are sorry to hear your stay at PoW Boat Quay was not a satisfactory one and the level of customer service was poor. This will be attended to and we will take more care and time when training our staff, especially those handling our guests in the hostel. We strive for a high level of customer service and am... Awesome place to stay. Neil the manager and his crew (Teddy, Max etc) made our stay really enjoyable. The private room upstairs is really roomy but the stairs up to it are a bit daunting in the early hours of the morning! Had a great time and would definitely stay again. Thanks guys!
