Hotel is located in Little India district. It feels like India which means that there are shops that sell traditional Indian clothes and jewelery as well as fruit and vegetables market and 24/7 shops and of course all kinds of traditional Indian restaurants on your every step. The hotel is located about 5-10 min walking from subway station. I saw... More

This hotel is disgusting and tiny. We were in their "best" room and it still made a youth hostel look glamorous. The beds were stained, walls and doors had mold, windows would not shut and let bugs in, and the shower was the washroom so everything gets soaked. The pillows were like sleeping on a bad of potatoes and the... More

The best we could find for the money. Small room but big enough for 2 people. Quiet room with good air conditioning, curtains and bathroom facilities. No tea or coffee in rooms. 'Breakfast' the most appalling I have ever experienced - breakfast room cramped, smelly and noisy with no windows, a few scraps of bread, butter, peanut butter and jam,... More

I have been staying at this hotel for many occasions over many years and have to say it has doubled the price but did not make any improvements to the place. It now is just a big rip-off for 130 SGD per night. I wouldnt stay there anymore. Much party and drink noise from the street prevented me from getting... More

Hotel is cheap by Singapore standards. The rooms are rather small and even the so called refurbished rooms show signs of age. If you are used to getting a comfortable temperature in the room by just dialing in the temperature, you will be in for a nasty surprise. The a/c doesn't regulate the temperature well. All said, the rooms are... More

It was easy to access many shopping malls in Singapore. Just 30 mins from Airport.

That's right, hourly rates. Prostitutes going in and out of hotel all day and night. Shady men. AC broke and started shooting water. Didn't matter, because we weren't sleeping from the sound of the club next door. One of the worst hotels I've ever been to. I love the neighborhood (oh that food!), but stay someplace else--really, for $5 more... More

The Madras is cheap and clean but if your staying in a room on the noisy side of the hotel you won't get any sleep. Especially not in the weekends. We had to put up with some Indian singer going at it 'till 3 am. The breakfast is toast and jam in the basement. So if you stay here, request... More
